DSO as Source databasis in UCWB

Hi Experts,

I have a Data Storage object(DSO) and wanted to ask if I can register/register this(DSO) as Source databasis (in BCS Customizing) in UCWB.(e.g. to do a load from datastream from this into the transactional BCS Cube) Can you let me know if this is  possible /feasible?  If not what alternatives I have when I have a DSO?
