BI Platform and IIS vs. Apache webserver

Hi,

We're working on trial edition of Crystal Server 2013 and Crystal Reports 2013 and mainly just interested in Ad-hoc reporting piece of BI right now. Here's our basic setup:

- Crystal Server 2013 5-CAL hosted on Windows 2008 R2 enterprise server.  Tomcat on same machine, Apache on separate webserver host.

- Oracle "reporting database" on separate host (so I have set up crystal server secured relational connections/universe).

- Users and report designers using Crystal Reports and Crystal Reports for Enterprise on their desktops to create, publish and view reports.

My question is if there is any advantage to running IIS instead of the Apache webserver as far as BI platform capabilities go?

I have not come across anything in the docs about "IIS only" benefits or plugs-ins to justify moving to IIS, but maybe I've missed something?  Any thoughts or advice on this appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
