A couple of things....
1) Not all vendors offer their own ICI adapters/connectors. For example, Cisco used to offer their own adapter but now instead recommends to use the third-party adapter from Bucher and Suter. Similarly AMC offers adapters for both Avaya and Cisco I believe.
2) Adapters need to be recertified by SAP every 3 years, so sometimes companies choose not to recertify their adapters right away (as their is a cost and effort involved). This doesn't necessarily mean that the adapter is compatible with SAP any longer; it just means that it hasn't been formally recertified.
